                                                      " the quiet superstar "

Yet again OnePlus has shown us that they can even refine an impeccable phone like the OnePlus 3 into a newer and better version of itself, the OnePlus 3T.

This is Eeshaan Shanker and these are my Views on the newest Remake of a Phone that leaves all the High end Phone behind it.

PROs :

  • Thin and light metal design
  • 5.5 inch AMOLED display
  • Great battery life ( with the bonus of DASH charge )
  • Rear and Front Cameras
  • Fast finger print sensor
  • Refined Oxygen OS

CONs :

  •  No expandable storage
  •  Single speaker

DESIGN

The design is same as its predecessor, with its metal unibody construction with a little curve on the back which provides the extra grip. It is rounded on the edges so no compromise in built quality there.
Although it has a full metal design, it's quite light to hold but feels sturdy to hold at the same time.
There is no special marking from which you can tell it's an upgraded device, the only way to distinguish it from its antecedent is that it has a slightly darker colour than that of the OnePlus 3.
Same as before the power button is given on the right side and the volume rockers are on the left accompanied by the notification slider which lets you switch between silent, do not disturb and full volume, & the fingerprint scanner is on the front like you get in all the samsung phones nowadays.
It is just slightly larger than the SAMSUNG Galaxy S7 Edge which makes it somewhat comfortable to use in one hand despite its 5.5 inch display.
It has two alternatives one in the Gunmetal colour and the other in Soft Gold ( you can only tell the difference in the Gunmetal colour ).
At the bottom of the device one can see the USB-C port and the 3.5mm Headphone jack along with the single speaker. On the front of the phone as i mentioned before, there is a fingerprint scanner that doubles as a home button tagging along with a back button and a multi-tasking button on either of its sides.

DISPLAY

It sports a 5.5 inch AMOLED display, as same as that found in OP3, with a resolution of 1080p.
Oxygen OS takes advantage of the AMOLED display to show deep black colours.
Saturation & RGB colouration can be adjusted to fulfil ones need in the settings.
Display is made bright enough so that the user faces no difficulties outdoors, and can be toned down to quite an extent if you want to use it in dark conditions.
Sharpness of the phone is not an issue since you cannot tell the difference between a 1080p and a QuadHD display with the naked eye, but if you going to use it for VR content then it may not be the brightest star.

PERFORMANCE & HARDWARE

The differences between the OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 3T are minimalistic, but from the performance and hardware point of view its got a nice update.
The device now comes with a new Qualcomm Snapdragon 821, clocked at 2.35GHz, along with an enormous 6GB RAM, which obviously makes multitasking quite smooth and one can switch between apps with real ease.
Due to the new upgrade to the processor it now handles graphic intense games like a charm.
It comes in two memory options one with 64GB internal and the other with 128GB internal storage, so storage is not an issue.
It now has a bigger 3400mAh battery compared to the previous 3000mAh one and will last easily throughout the day with average usage.
Dash charge also makes the work easier if you need a quick refill on the battery, OnePlus claims you can get a full day of battery power by charging the phone for only a half hour, which roughly may give you 60% of battery if you are starting from 0%.
you can also use the phone while its charging because most of the heat that is radiated into the phone during fast charging stays behind in the charger module.

CAMERA

The clicker on this little fella is as good as it can get, it sports an 16MP front as well as rear camera with a f/2.0 aperture which sure helps in taking selfies in the dark without much pixelization.
It also comes with optical image stabilisation as well as phase detection and autofocus.
The camera comes with an HQ mode which helps you sharpen the image and works like a beauty when shooting in low light.
The camera software does tend to overexpose the highlights but can be solved by turning on the HDR mode which brings out the details in the images and tends to give the photo a more natural look.
Other modes include Time-Lapse, Slow-Motion, Panorama and Manual mode for the inner photographer in you which lets you control the ISO, Shutter Speed and lets you focus on the subject manually.

SOFTWARE

Starting from cyanogen OnePlus has come a long way developing their own operating system named Oxygen OS, and the latest version of it can be experienced in the current device.
It runs the latest version, Oxygen OS 3.5.1 ,which is based on top of Android 6.0 marshmallow which doesn't only give the device the near stock experience but also has the room for customisations of sorts.
Once you get the phone you sure can update to the latest version of android that is Android 7.0 Nougat.
Otherwise, the overall experience of Oxygen OS is quite smooth and works in the absence of any lag.

VERDICT

If your budget is around Rs. 30,000 this is the best phone you can buy in the market right now, which will not get outdated in the budget section that fast and will give you an experience worth every Rupee you spend.
The Display, Processor, RAM and the Internal storage on this device are all jacked up, and can be compared to any high-end phone in the market that too only at a price of 30k.
